Waterfalls, Cliffs & Hidden Villages The day begins heading north, with the first stop at Ribeira dos Caldeirões, located in the Nordeste region. You’ll be enchanted by a beautiful waterfall, traditional watermills, and lush botanical gardens. We continue through the charming Vila do Nordeste, towards the island’s eastern tip to admire two of São Miguel’s most scenic viewpoints: Ponta do Sossego and Ponta da Madrugada, where you’ll also spot the iconic Farol do Arnel lighthouse. Next, we visit Vila da Povoação, known as the first settlement on the island. The tour continues to the Salto do Cavalo viewpoint, offering a panoramic view over Furnas and Povoação before we return to Ponta Delgada.
