Full Day Sete Cidades & Lagoa do Fogo – Iconic Lakes, Hidden Gems & Volcanic Wonders

The tour begins in Ponta Delgada, heading to Pico do Carvão Viewpoint (Miradouro do Pico do Carvão), where you can enjoy breathtaking views of both the north and south coasts of São Miguel, offering a truly unique perspective of the island’s geography.

We then continue to Santiago Lake (Lagoa de Santiago), a hidden natural gem within the volcanic caldera, with stunning views of the iconic Blue Lake (Lagoa Azul) and Green Lake (Lagoa Verde).

Next, we explore the Sete Cidades region, with a stop at Sete Cidades Village (Vila das Sete Cidades) to wander through its charming streets and admire the traditional architecture.

The tour also includes visits to some of the island’s most iconic viewpoints: King’s Viewpoint (Miradouro do Rei), the dramatic Hell’s Mouth Viewpoint (Miradouro da Boca do Inferno), and Canary Viewpoint (Miradouro do Canário), perfect spots for capturing unforgettable photos of São Miguel’s volcanic landscapes.

On the way back, we stop at Escalvado Viewpoint (Miradouro do Escalvado), offering panoramic views over Vila dos Mosteiros and the Mosteiros Islets (Ilhéus dos Mosteiros). The tour concludes with a return to Ponta Delgada after a day filled with nature, unique landscapes, and unforgettable moments.

Finally, we continue to Fire Lake (Lagoa do Fogo), one of the Azores’ most spectacular lakes, set within a protected nature reserve, renowned for its crystal-clear waters and pristine surroundings (visit subject to weather conditions and accessibility).
